FAQs

How long have you been in business?
Alan and Kathryn Frazier renovated and opened the Wine Country Inn, their first B&B in 1996. They purchased the original White House Tavern shortly after marriage in 1982. Alan renovated the tavern showcasing the original 1885 building as an up-to-date restaurant. He gutted and built the Edelweiss Jacuzzi Suites that began operation in 1998.
Does our stay include breakfast?
Breakfast is served between the hours of 8:30-9:30am in the Historic Dining Room operated by Ashley’s Rose (formerly the White House – by the way also a great choice for dinner). Our current menu starts with coffee and juice and includes:
  • Fruit Compote and Sweet Bread
  • Our Signature Dish “Stuffed French Toast”
  • “Edelweiss Eggs Benedict” with an unusual twist served with Potato Pancakes, and Sausage.
If you have any allergies or have a special request please let us know as promptly as possible and we will gladly accommodate your request.
What time is check-in/check-out?
  • Check-in: 4 pm – 5 pm ( call to arrange special time prior to check-in)
  • Check-out: 11 am (your key can be left in the room/door or returned staff at restaurant)
Is there a tipping etiquette?
As in any hotel, B&B or restaurant, the housekeeping and wait staff appreciate tips.

For guests staying more than one night – our housekeeping staff will replace used bath linens – unless you indicate otherwise at breakfast.
Is smoking allowed in the rooms?
In order to maintain insurance requirements and the quality and beauty of our historic buildings and rooms, we request that you not smoke in our suites or common rooms.
What brand mattresses are used in B&B rooms?
We use only the highest quality Restonic Mattresses designed to cradle you in luxury, provide maximum support, optimal comfort and regal slumber.
Do you allow pets?
Many of our guests are allergic to pets and/or are highly sensitive to their dander. For that reason we do not allow animals of any kind in our rooms.
Can I purchase a gift certificate?
Absolutely! We also welcome groups. Tell us about your event and we will be happy to customize the right package for you.
